How Does The Frozen HIFU Machine Works?

Frozen HIFU combined the technology of HIFU and cooling together.

HIFU

HIFU technology uses focused ultrasound energy to penetrate deep into the skin, targeting layers like the fascia and fat. This energy creates thermal effects that stimulate collagen production and cause the skin to tighten and firm. 

Cooling System

ICE HIFU incorporates a cooling system, often a semiconductor refrigeration unit, to cool the skin’s surface before and during the treatment. This cooling helps protect the epidermis from overheating and reduces discomfort during the procedure. 

Flexibility

Some ICE HIFU machines offer flexible sliding operation, allowing for more targeted treatment areas compared to traditional HIFU machines with fixed-point application

Application

  • Skin tightening: ICE HIFU is designed to improve skin firmness and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

  • Cooling and Comfort: The cooling system helps make the treatment more comfortable and reduces the risk of “burns” on the skin. 
  • Non-invasive: ICE HIFU is a non-surgical procedure with minimal downtime, according to some sources. 

Frozen HIFU add the cooling technology on the traditional HIFU, it is more comfortable and painless.​

HIFU targets the upper dermis 1.5mm, lower dermis 3.00mm and most importantly the SMAS at 4.5mm. The SMAS is the layer that sits between your muscle and your fat layer. 

This SMAS layer is the actual area a plastic surgeon would pull and tighten under a surgical operation using a knife. HIFU targets this layer without any surgical incisions, giving the patient a no-downtime facelift. Which means you can gain excellent results without any risks associated with surgery, such as infection, scarring, swelling etc. Treatments are fast and results can be seen immediately for some patients, depending on the level of laxity your skin has.

Initial results can be seen shortly after the treatment, but the best results typically appear within a few weeks as collagen production increases. 

The full effect of HIFU can take several months to be fully visible. 

Depending on what you want to achieve and current skin condition, HIFU can be a single treatment, but in most cases a course of 3 is required.
